Curriculum

Educational Program

The Academy's curriculum, taught in a traditional classroom setting, focuses on the social, spiritual, and physical needs of each child. To this end, the school offers a well rounded education that is both academically sound and socially positive. Christian curriculum from BJU Press and A Beka Books are the foundation of the elementary and secondary programs. In addition, nonpublic school services are provided through the Central Intermediate Unit (CIU 10) which offers a variety of services such as occupational therapy, remedial services and speech & language services.

Fine Arts

Centre County Christian Academy supports a panoramic perspective of education, with opportunities for students to explore their interests and talents beyond the core subjects. To this end, fine arts instruction and competitions are offered within the elementary and secondary programs. Music, speech, choral groups, ensembles, and handbell choir competition are also made available through the Association of Christian School International (ACSI).

Technology

Technology will be utilized in a variety of ways both in and out of the classrooms.. Our goal is one laptop/Chromebook per student in addition to desktop computers in each elementary classroom.
